We, at Loomod, were fortunate to serve a global activewear brand that operates four dedicated Shopify Plus stores targeting Europe, United States, Australia, and Global clientele. The key purpose of the above-mentioned four Shopify Plus stores is to serve different regional markets.

Team Loomod attended a few meeting rounds with the client’s end to understand the client’s requirements to the fullest. The client’s initial request was just to develop a custom Shopify theme that nicely aligns with their brand identity. During the initial stage, we realized that we can even improve their operations significantly by merging all four stores into a single Shopify Plus store while still offering region-specific shopping experiences.
During that period, Shopify’s 2022 setup and configurations did not fully support multi-market store consolidation. On the other hand, the client was not looking for the feature, different pricing per market. The client has the requirement of implementing different currencies and region-specific inventories. Consequently, we proposed a custom solution to manage their operations efficiently.
Additionally, the client was in need of a “Buy Now, Collect Later” functionality integrated with Shopify POS Pro. This functionality allows customers to purchase online and pick up items at physical store locations. As there were no reliable built-in third-party apps to offer this functionality, we at Loomod developed a custom solution that matches the client’s requirements.
What We Offered Shopify Plus Multi-Market Consolidation & Localization.
Team Loomod merged four regional stores into one Shopify Plus store, leveraging Shopify 2.0. During that period of time, Shopify 2.0 was just released. We used IP-based geo-targeting to dynamically adjust currencies and product availability per market.
Furthermore we ensured that the correct inventory was displayed for each region, even though the pricing structure remained the same.(The pricing structure was created by converting from a base price).
We helped the client to reduce costs by consolidating subscriptions, cutting Shopify costs by three-fourths and reducing overhead management expenses.
Team Loomod developed a fully custom solution that enabled customers to purchase online and pick up their orders later at physical store locations.
We integrated the system with Shopify POS Pro for real-time inventory syncing.Consequently, we could provide an intuitive user experience that aligned with theclient’s activewear brand’s omnichannel strategy.
Performance Optimization & SEO Improvements
The client previously used GemPages which is a Shopify page builder. That page builder had negatively impacted site speed and SEO rankings. We built the new Shopify Plus store using Shopify 2.0 & Liquid so that we could improve site performance and search rankings. The improved speed and efficiency metrics positively impacted to compete with the market giants in the activewear industry. For an instance, Gymshark which is a reputed activewear brand, was utilizing native Shopify to acquire optimal performances.
Execution & Timeline
The team Loomod, conducted a session that spanned for 36 hours. There we executed the final migration, inventory merging, domain setup, and staff training. The key purpose of the above-mentioned session was to ensure a smooth transition before Black Friday.
Results
Team Loomod delivered the new Shopify Plus store on-time as per the initial client agreements and went live just in time for Black Friday in 2022. This UK headquartered activewear brand was able to acquire 100,000 Euros in sales in 2022 in a single day, marking a 42% increase compared to 2021. Most importantly, the Shopify subscription and operational costs were reduced by 75%, making the business significantly more efficient. The multi-market setup allowed them to seamlessly serve different regions without the need for separate stores. Moreover, multi-market setup nicely maintains localized currencies and inventory management.
The SEO rankings of the activewear brand were improved organically. The removal of the GemPages page builder and rebuild using Shopify 2.0 and Liquid played a massive role to enhance SEO. Team Loomod improved the website speed and user experience via high-level UX design skills. Consequently, the client was able to compete directly with major players like Gymshark.
